
Students of the Agriculture Science and Entrepreneurship Programme of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Community College (SVGCC) gave back to the community on July 21 when they handed over one harvesting crate of cucumbers each to The Lewis Punnett Home, The Mental Health and Rehabilitation Centre, and The Thompson Home.
The students place emphasis on the importance of not only food security but also nutrition security. The student managed enterprise is an integral component of the Agriculture Science and Entrepreneurship Programme as the Division of Technical and Vocational Education aims to address food sustainability, security and nutrition through programmes and activities within the Hospitality and Agricultural Department.
